Salt Lake City, UT—The First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles have voted unanimously to change the name of it’s most recognizable book of scripture from The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ to The Book of Mormon: A Non-historical Testament of Jesus Christ.

Church president Russell M. Nelson explains that, “the change is to more accurately reflect the contents of the book.” President Nelson continued: “It’s not important whether these things actually happened. All that’s important is that you make the covenant of baptism and begin to pay tithing… I mean, have a relationship with God.”
