Salt Lake City, UT—The new LDS hymnal is here, and the result is truly inspired. Take the old book, add the phrase, “in the Bathroom,” after every title of every hymn, and you get Hymns in the Bathroom.

President Russell M. Nelson says that Hymns in the Bathroom is, “the culmination of years of intense study, debate, and prayer.”

The reaction has been overwhelmingly positive.

“Finally a change everyone likes!” exclaimed one excited member. Another member was glad the church finally listened to the membership on this issue: “We’ve all been doing it since we were kids. The fact that the church is now recognizing it is evidence of the continuing restoration.”

The following are just a few of the exciting titles to appear in the new hymnal:

  • “Praise to the Man in the Bathroom”
  • “Come, Come, Ye Saints in the Bathroom”
  • “I Saw A Mighty Angel Fly in the Bathroom”
  • “Be Still, My Soul in the Bathroom”
  • “I Need Thee Every Hour in the Bathroom”
  • “Sons of Michael, He Approaches in the Bathroom”
  • “Did You Think to Pray in the Bathroom?”
  • “What Glorious Scenes Mine Eyes Behold in the Bathroom”
  • “God Moves in a Mysterious Way in the Bathroom”
  • “I’ll Go Where You Want Me to Go in the Bathroom”
  • “Called to Serve in the Bathroom”
  • “Scatter Sunshine in the Bathroom”
  • “I Have Work Enough to Do in the Bathroom”
  • “Home Can Be a Heaven on Earth in the Bathroom”
  • “Sweet Is the Work in the Bathroom”
  • “The Happy Day at Last Has Come in the Bathroom”

The church has confirmed that “If You Could Hie to Kolob in the Bathroom” will stay a part of the hymnal in spite of rumors to the contrary.
