Berlin—New journal entries have emerged from Adolf Hitler’s personal writings that reveal he was a Calvinist.

In one journal entry Hitler wrote, “Calvinism is wonderful because I can do anything I want and just say, ‘God made me do it!’ And as long as God makes me say a prayer at the end of my life I’ll be saved from all of my, I mean His, misdeeds.”

Subscribers to the philosophy of Calvin of course reject the idea that Hitler was a true Calvinist, but have yet to come up with a reason why God made him say he was… or a reason why God made him do all those other things too.
