Saratoga Springs, UT—A controversial new group within the church calling themselves “All Wives Matter” is demanding that the Church begin displaying portraits of every single one of Joseph Smith’s 49 (?) wives in their meeting houses.
It is almost standard practice to display a portrait of Emma Smith (Joseph’s first wife) next to the prophet in church Relief Society rooms.
“The church has made a lot of progress in being more transparent about their past,” said Fanny A. Jessop, the movement’s founder. “All we ask is that they be consistent by restoring Joseph’s other wives to their proper place beside their husband. They belong to him just as much as Emma does.”
Emma was the first Relief Society president and his other wives were not. I believe that might have something to do with why the other wives photos are not present and probably shouldn’t be on this basis. It is called the Relief Society room and not the wives of Joseph Smith memorial room. And just for the record I am not a member of the LDS Church and thought I might put in a word of common sense even if this is a joke or something like that.

Hilarious!
Emma was also Joseph’s only wife. It’s well documented here (https://hemlockknots.com/monogamy-polygamy-timeline/) in a simple timeline of events. One of the biggest coverups in history was Brigham Young and his loyal members of the Twelve originating polygamy with Joseph Smith, which allowed them to convince the westbound saints it was a thing. What a sad and tragic story.
