Salt Lake City, UT—With the help of the NAACP and other diversity groups, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints plans to celebrate cultural and ethnic diversity in its new hymnal by including new music genres such as Rap, Reggae, and Gangsta-Funk to name a few.
The Church has released a few song titles that will be included in the new hymnal. One is called “Jesus Is My Home Boy” and another is titled “Get’n High To Kolob”.
88 year old Gertrude Anderson from American Fork, UT said, “I look forward to singing these newly inspired yet edgy songs. They’re going to put some real spice into our meetings!”
