Orem, UT—During a recent general conference talk, President Nelson instructed Church members to no longer refer to themselves as “Mormon,” but rather to use the true name of the Church instead. This announcement prompted Utah rapper James the Mormon to changed his name to James The Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
President Nelson even went on to say that the adversary is delighted when we use the word “Mormon” in reference to the Church and its members. “It’s just not fair,” Lamented James the Mormon, “in one conference talk my name went from the coolest way to wear my religion to the most evil thing I could say about myself.”
But thanks to the change, James The Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints now holds the Guinness Book of World Record for the longest rapper name in human history.
